Job Description:
Responsibilties:

  • Working within a dynamic team environment, the Senior IT Analyst is responsible for the implementation and ongoing support of IT solutions for one or more assigned functional areas, ensuring that implementations are completed in a timely and quality manner in accordance with our standards and our internal customer's success criteria
  • Must demonstrate the ability to represent the needs of our customers to the solution vendor(s) we are working with, define requirements for system use and ensure the implemented system meets our internal customer needs
  • Responsible for the development and configuration of solutions that meet the needs of research organization
  • Responsible for developing effective working relationships with our internal customers and vendors
  • Must demonstrate a high level of composure, professionalism, and knowledge of IT solutions, application management through various product cycles and business environments, and be able to identify risk and recommend applications and technology to address internal customer needs
  • Ability to negotiate conflicts and complex issues to an expeditious and satisfactory resolution for both our internal customers and vendors
  • Ability to prioritize and quickly adapt to changing situations
  • Advise management on technical and process issues
  • Alerts all team members of critical path milestones on the project plan for assigned applications
  • Assists our internal customers in developing working scenarios for testing
  • Has had responsibility for all aspects of an implementation of a product(s) including leading training, workshops, and documentation preparation
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with the principles of data modeling and database design
  • Has experience in supporting open-source bioinformatics tools in Linux environment
  • Has experience in business analysis, project management, process improvement and computer systems validation
  • Familiarity with biotech/pharma business processes and applications
  • Familiarity with the drug discovery process from research through pre-clinical
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in workflow design
  • Demonstrated programming skills in ASP.NET, C#, SQL, VBA (Excel and Access)
  • Demonstrated experience in the integration of internal applications and databases
  • Strong understanding of ETL practices
  • Experience in supporting LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) is plus
  • Has experience in the management of software post activation: support, upgrades and enhancement rollouts
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interface and influence at multiple organization levels
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Monitors and ensures budget targets are met and provides feedback to project management for adjustments needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, and 6+ years of progressive business experience
  • 6+ years’ experience in supporting and implementing large scale IT solutions
  • Familiarity with GxP and ICH regulations and 21CFR, Part 11 desired
  • Demonstrated facilitative leadership skills
