We're looking for a motivated, hands-on software engineering manager who will drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast paced environment. You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of production level software. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive innovation and manage technical projects, operating at both tactical and strategic levels, working with R&D teams and management
- Contribute to architecture and roadmap planning for internal and product software
- Lead and mentor team members
- Manage contractors and vendors for delivery of high quality software and services.
- 10+ years software development experience with a distinguished track record on technically demanding projects
- 4+ years leading fast-paced and dynamic engineering teams to successfully deliver commercial software through multiple releases
- Experience in managing complex projects that require a deep understanding of the application logic and dependencies, ability to effectively drive cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with OOP, Design Patterns, Distributed System Architecture Core competency in Java, Python , or C/C++;
- Extensive experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle databases
- Agile, proactive, comfortable working with ambiguous specifications and can prioritize on the fly
- Knowledge of best software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, test driven development, code reviews, source and configuration management, continuous integration and deployment, testing, and operations
- MS or Ph.D. degree in computer science, software engineering, bioinformatics or related fields
- Experience with Cloud Computing (AWS and Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience with FDA QSR OR ISO 13485 is a plus.
