Job Description:
Applicants are invited for a Senior Research Associate at the UCL Cancer Institute to provide bioinformatics support and expertise to the Cancer Immunotherapy Accelerator (CITA). ( www.ucl.ac.uk/cancer/research/research-centres/immunotherapy-accelerator ) The post holder will lead the analysis and integration of mass spectrometry, flow cytometry, CyTOF, genomics and transcriptomics data. Such data will arise from several cancer immunology projects, including the TRACERx programme lead by Prof. Charles Swanton and Dr. Sergio Quezada at the UCL Cancer Institute and James Larkin and Samra Turajlic at the Francis Crick Institute and the Royal Marsden Hospital. The post holder will be based within the Bill Lyons Informatics Centre www.ucl.ac.uk/cancer/blic ) at the UCL Cancer Institute. The post is funded by CRUK until 31st August 2020 in the first instance.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in computational biology and a strong background in quantitative mass spectrometry-based proteome analysis. In addition, experience in NGS-based genome, and transcriptome analysis is required. A good understanding of cancer immunology would be a plus.

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 8. The salary range will be £42,304 - £49,904 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
