The successful candidate will be part of the Experimental and Translational pathology group. Primary responsibilities will include design and implementation of in vitro and ex vivo (human and non-human primates) studies to evaluate potency, safety and understand mechanism of action of experimental biologics drugs. The candidate will play a key role in development of primary cell-based assays using human tumors and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes, development of flow cytometry-based assays including multiparametric analysis, cell sorting and molecular analysis of the sorted cells. This person will be actively involved in technology/platform development efforts, high volume data collection, statistical analysis of large datasets and report generation. In addition, the candidate will be expected to attend team meetings, deliver clear and well-articulated presentations and be an active participant in discussions.
Qualifications
Education:
PhD in a relevant discipline with 2+ years of postdoctoral experience or M.S. with 4+ years in industry. Required:
PhD in a relevant discipline with 2+ years of postdoctoral experience or M.S. with 4+ years in industry. Extensive hands on experience in designing and performing a variety of in vitro immunoassays including ELISA, MSD, cytokine analysis, T cell stimulation and suppression assays, etc. A high level of proficiency in flow cytometry, cell sorting and FACS based assays, especially multiparametric and high throughput analysis Demonstrated experience in statistical analysis and bioinformatics as applied to either flowcytometry and genomics Proficiency in some of the following software analysis tools - TIBCO Spotfire, Prism, R/Bioconductor, MATLAB, Visne, Spade, FlowJo, CytoBank suite, Omicsoft and other RNAseq/NGS analysis pipelines. Preferred:
A good understanding of immunological concepts especially in tumor immunology is desirable Previous experience in analysis of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes or immune monitoring is a strong plus Previous experience in antibody drug discovery and working with human, non-human primate and murine tissues is a plus. Highly detail-oriented with excellent record keeping skills.
