We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced engineer to join the Core Data team. You Will:
- Develop and operate best-in-class data processing infrastructure that is capable of ingesting and transforming data at a large scale coming from many different sources
- Build a platform that provides internal teams seamless access to data via well defined interfaces
- Design and implement processes to improve data accuracy with heuristics, algorithms, statistics, NLP, etc.
- Develop visualizations for internal customers that expose key insights from large complex data
- 8+ years full lifecycle software engineering experience include: coding, testing, troubleshooting and deployment in Python/Java/Scala
- Experience with pipeline development; generating reproducible tools that scale; leveraging open source systems e.g. Airflow, Luigi, Meson, etc.
- Command of relational databases and query authoring (SQL)
- Experience using Python within an object oriented and/or functional programming project setting
- Experience building and operating large scale AWS data infrastructure in production environments a plus
- BS+ in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or related field
