Ancestry is currently seeking highly motivated, internet-savvy interns who can work full-time for 12-16 weeks during Summer 2017. Internship Project Description:

If you are passionate about designing and building large scale web applications and services, this will be an incredible experience for you. Our team works on exciting new ways for our customers to contribute to genetic research and acquire new insights on how their genes play a role in defining who they are. With our unprecedented genomic database, we are combining user-centric design with scalable technical solutions that will enable both genetic researchers and consumers to make new discoveries every day.

This is what you will do….

-You will learn to design and build large scale web applications and services

. You will work on AWS migration to production

. Fully automating CI/CD pipeline for ACIS APIs

-You will learn the following technologies and tools:

. Continuous integration/delivery with Jenkins

. Develop and deploy with Docker/Kubernetes

. RESTful API development with NodeJs, MySql and Memcached

. Front end development with Javascript in React and Redux

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (for example: Bioinformatics, EE, Computer Engineering, Math, and Physics).

Must be currently enrolled in university with graduation dates starting in Spring 2017 forward
