Job Description:
The Computational Medicine and Biology (CMB) Division of CFDRC is developing software tools for high profile projects for the government agencies (DoD, FDA, NIH) and pharma industry. This position will join a diverse team of Biomedical Engineers and Scientists with a primary tasking with the development of usable software applications to deliver to our customers. The software will be various tools for personalized health care and support multiple platforms including desktop, web applications and/or mobile applications. This is an exceptional opportunity to be a part of new, rapidly advancing area of research that has direct applications to the well-being of individuals. The software engineer will be responsible for the development of software and graphical user interfaces for personalized health care on Mobile and Web based platforms. The job involves C++, Javascript, Qt GUI programming, and cross platform development tools. Candidate will have the ability to work projects from early concepts to final development. Position will be responsible for using quality software techniques and a development process that will allow CFDRC to continue to improve upon the initial software framework. Requirements: -Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or Engineering (or similar software focused discipline). Experience in developing software applications and a degree in a different technical field (BioEngineering, etc.) will be considered as well. -Proven experience and capabilities in one or more technologies: Javascript, OpenSceneGraph, Qt GUI programming, C++ and/or Open-GL -Candidate must be a Permanent Resident with a preference for US Citizenship (Some of the work could support DoD customers) -Experience in mobile platform (Android, iOS) programming, integration with wireless physiology sensors, web programming or cross platform development tools is a plus
