Job Title: SQA Engineer
Duties:
This is a software development position with emphasis on Software Quality and Test Automation. The duties in summary involves 60% software quality testing and 40% test automation development. Ideal candidate will monitor, analyze and test software during development for quality assurance and engineer the improved SDLC process for quality.
The candidate must be comfortable and willing to work with functional test and technical test cases both. He or she will contribute implementing automated test applications, and lead the quality assurance process improvements.
The candidate will also utilize SQA skills to write and execute manual tests in accordance with the company's established SDLC methodology. The successful candidate will display a strong sense of ownership, motivation, and attention to detail.
Skills:
Minimum 3 years' experience with Software, ASP.Net, C#, MVC, QA, Quality.
Expert at web software performance testing from application and database layers.
Minimum 4 years operating, testing, or supporting SW
Minimum 4 years experience working in Software Quality Assurance and/or other areas of the SDLC to test Windows-based GUI systems
Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
Experts at developing manual test cases and executing the software test as a part of the agile software development process.
Perform integration testing, regression testing and smoke testing for various stages of software release.
Assist software developers and domain experts in designing, performing, and improving verification tests
Education:
Understanding of Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field of biology
Familiarity with Gene Expression, Genotyping, Sequencing, Microarrays, and/or Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
Possess proven troubleshooting skills
Be curious, detail oriented, and analytical, with a proven ability to learn quickly
Be customer-focused, team-oriented, and motivated, taking ownership of assigned tasks
Have proven ability to self-manage, as well as manage interdisciplinary relationships
Have proven verbal and written communication skills
