Job Description:
At Philips Oncology Informatics, we work on some of the most complex challenges in bringing the latest advancements of bioinformatics and data science to satisfy the needs of doctors in their daily tasks. As a Sr. Manager of Analytics you will bridge between the external clients and internal teams to develop sophisticated solutions enabling the highest standards of healthcare.

You are responsible for:

  • Project management with external customers, fully responsible for execution and deployment of analytics and genomics-related customer engagements
  • Managing communication with customer and requirements specification for development under QMS
  • Perform program management with internal teams that provide critical parts of technologies for product delivery (e.g. Philips Data Science Platform, Genome informatics platform, HSDP)
  • Development of new analytics methods and workflows as part of the solution for the customers
  • Help our Oncology Informatics business with external visibility and marketing in the Analytics and AI domain (conferences, blogs, exhibits).
You are a part of:

You will lead a team of clinical bioinformaticians and software engineers within Philips Oncology Informatics who solve problems and build powerful new tools, ensure the best product quality, and develop a deep understanding of healthcare professional needs and product requirements.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Ph.D. major in Engineering, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or any other quantitative areas with minimum of 5 years of experience in predictive analytics and data science in healthcare.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in machine learning and statistical methods applied to clinical research and healthcare business development (clinical genomics, clinical data integration)
  • Minimum of 2 years program management experience in development of cloud-based IT applications for oncology and clinical data integration (EMR/LIS)
    • coordination between major stakeholders and internal teams
    • envisioning, communication and coordination of integrative clinical & genomics data model developing requirements specifications and overseeing the execution of clinical IT integration establishing the process for tracking schedules of requirements fulfillment
    • Solid experience in predictive analytics, statistical methods. Knowledge of advanced supervised and unsupervised learning methods
  • Solid experience in applying machine learning tools for pattern recognition in genomics and clinical data
  • Data analytics skills: R, Python
  • Programming: Java, C/C++
  • Big Data Tools: Spark, Hadoop/Hive, SQL.
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative/team spirit
