Sanofi is seeking a bioinformatics scientist to join a dynamic and cross-functional team involved in genomics and translational research. The successful candidate should be self-motivated and work effectively in a research environment. The candidate will participate in strategic planning and implementing emerging analysis tools for genomics research. The candidate will be responsible for executing genomic scale computational analysis and translate complex data into testable hypotheses. Basic qualifications: A Ph.D degree in bioinformatics, computational biology or related discipline with 5 years or more of research experience in genomics and systems biology. Experience must include analyzing next generation sequencing data and expert knowledge of integrative biological network analysis. - In-depth knowledge and experience in processing and analysis of large scale genetic and genomics platforms
- Hands on experience in single cell genomic data analysis
- Demonstrated programming and scripting competence with R, Python and JAVA
- Skills in data analytics, such as predictive modeling and machine learning
- Working experience in Unix/Linux operating systems and cloud computing
- Thorough knowledge of network analysis and visualization tools
- Effective teamwork and communication skills
