Success in this role requires a strong scientific background with genomics experience and ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced field. Job Description: Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and perform experiments to investigate novel technology applications for the BD Rhapsody™ platform in immunology and other biomedical disciplines
- Manage collaborations and relationships with key opinion leaders
- Participate in analysis of data from the BD Rhapsody platform in collaboration with internal bioinformatics and product development scientists and outside clients
- Participate in knowledge transfer, protocol optimization, and validation with product development teams to ensure success of BD products
- Present results to collaborators and prepare conference abstracts and manuscripts for publication
- Doctorate degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, biomedical sciences, or related field
- 0-2 years of industry work experience
- Wet-lab molecular biology experience (NGS library preparation) and primary cell culture skills are required
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, quick learner with ability to adapt to change
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Team-oriented
- Highly motivated, responsible, independent self-starter and problem solver
- Experience with single-cell RNA-seq assays and other next generation sequencing techniques from preparing libraries, running analysis pipelines, and analyzing data
- Experience in Python and/or R for data analysis
- Experience in technical writing, exemplified by publication of peer-reviewed papers
