Job Description:
Bayside Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer I/II- Bioinformatics to be part of our client’ s team in the East Bay. This is an opportunity to work with the largest biotech company and deliver better-targeted therapies.

Summary of responsibilities:

-Position will focus on Process Development within the Sequencing Development Organization.

-Expertise in Design Control, Technical Writing, Team leadership and public speaking are essential.

-Expertise in IVD and RUO Product Development Process is essential.

-Significant experience with all phases of technology and/or assay development is highly desirable.

-Significant cross-functional team leadership is highly desirable.

-System development experience in complex clinical diagnostic development environments is a plus.

-Knowledge of all phases of NGS workflows and data analysis is desirable. Experience with NGS systems development is a plus.

-Works under general supervision, to conduct and monitor laboratory experiments utilizing established and published procedures, and technical and theoretical understanding.

-Document creation, driving review and approval. Process Development functions such as process mapping, identification and training for best practices, process tool identification and maintenance. Risk and Requirements management.

-Keeps supervisor/project leader informed of project status, particularly of significant findings and results in critical problem areas. Performs work according to established internal safety guidelines and procedures, and as specified by appropriate external regulatory agencies (e.g. OSHA).

-Selects techniques to solve problems and makes sound design recommendations.

-Assesses results for applicability, validity, and conformance to Product Requirements and/or Software Requirements.

-Ability to work closely with external and internal design teams to understand and resolve issues.

Summary of Qualifications:

-Required BS or equivalent with 2-6 years related experience or MS with 2-3 years related experience or Ph.D. degree; preferred MS with 3+ years related experience

-Required Bachelor’ s degree in engineering, sciences, or related field

-Experience working on development of diagnostic devices under strict IVD design control processes, experimental design, versatile laboratory practice, data analysis, and data and concept presentation.
