Responsibilities:
Supporting AmpliSeq:Timely answering questions from customers and internal users about using AmpliSeq Designer's features, its limitations and providing workarounds, assistance in panel design, interpretation of design resultsProvide users information about Ion Panels (fixed, community and custom panels) and in general about the AmpliSeq sequencing technologyAssistance of users in case of reported problems while using or trying to use AmpliSeq Designer.Stay in close contact with Product Managers, Developers and RnD for answering customer's questionsPass on to AmpliSeq product managers customer complaints, requests and get a sense of their needs in order to improve AmpliSeq designer, ampliseq pipeline, and requests of panels.File bug and improvement suggestions in the internal ticketing system (JIRA)Represent customer's voice during sessions in which the customer's view is requiredPropose improvements to software and processes in order to assure scalability of the support taskUse the Admin interface to give users access to additional features of ampliSeq designerAssist customers in ordering panels offlineCreate and update AmpliSEq Designer's online documentationSupport the White Glove product by uploading designs to ampliseq user accounts and serve as a point of contact between customers, sales people and white glove RnDTroubleshoot and escalate in case it is needed of problems with AmpliSeq Designer and/or Ampliseq designs reported in JIRA (TASER AmpliSeq tickets) by field supportKeep track of support activities and create reportsSupporting Torrent SuiteTimely answering on Ion Community questions from customers and internal users about using Torrent Suite's features, its limitations and providing workaroundsTroubleshoot and escalate to RnD or Product Management Torrent Suite software issues reported by field personnel (TASER JIRA tickets) or through Ion CommunityStay in close contact with Product Managers, Developers and RnD for answering customer's questionsAssistance of users in case of reported problems while using or trying to use Torrent SuiteStay in close contact with Product Managers, Developers and RnD for answering customer's questionsPass on to Torrent Suite product manager customer complaints, requests and get a sense of their needs in order to improveFile bug and improvement suggestions in the internal ticketing system (JIRA)Represent customer's voice during sessions in which the customer's view is requiredKeep track of support activities and create reportsTraining Field PersonnelDetect training needs of field personnel (FBS)Keep and agenda of training issuesOrganize the yearly global FBS trainingQualificationsBS/MS in Biology, Bioinformatics or equivalent technical discipline.Knowledge of molecular biology and primer designProgramming skills (Unix shell, scripting languages (Perl and/or Python)Bioinformatics experienceWillingness and skill to interact with customers, product managers and R&DWillingness and capacity to summarize, explain and communicate complex issues in a precise and simple mannerWillingness to work through written communication (the highest % of the work is answering email and Jira tickets)Experience working with geographically distributed team.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
