Note: Interviews will be held in Trinity College during the week of April 13-17 2015. Start date for this position is May 1st 2015.
Post Summary
• The Bioinformatics Support Group invites applications for a Research Fellow to work on computational aspects of various projects in the biological sciences.
• This post is funded by SFI overheads and will lead to interactions with research groups in the biomedical area, including groups from the Schools of Biochemistry and Immunology, Genetics and Microbiology, Medicine, and Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences. The general aim of the job is to provide biologists in these areas with computational support, training and consultation.
Standard duties and Responsibilities of the Post
• Provide computational support for data analysis, visualisation and organisation
• Provide bioinformatics and statistical consultation for experimental design
• Provide training in bioinformatics resources
• Attend meetings with research groups in the biomedical area
• Attend in-house seminars on biomedical topics
