The Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics (DCMB, Medical School) and the Department of Environmental Health Sciences (EHS, School of Public health) invite applications for up to two post-doctoral fellow positions. These positions will support research on the epigenomics and regulatory perturbations in response to environmental exposures or molecular treatment and develop new bioinformatics algorithms as needed. The fellow(s) will work jointly with Drs. Maureen Sartor (Associate Professor of DCMB and Biostatistics) and Dana Dolinoy (Associate Professor of Environmental Health Sciences and Nutritional Sciences), with additional support from an established team of basic scientists, epidemiologists, bioinformaticians, and members of the Michigan Center on Lifestage Environmental Exposures and Disease (M-LEEaD). The specific research topics and balance between biological and computational work will be determined based on the expertise of the fellow and mutual interests of the fellow and mentors. Multiple publications as part of our team science efforts are expected. The position is expected to be over a 2-year period, with opportunities for extension or promotion.

Qualifications Desired: Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, molecular biology, toxicology, environmental health sciences, or a related field. Experience in environmental research, computational/statistical research and/or epigenetics techniques.  Programming skills and experience with genomics/epigenomics data analysis are strongly preferred.
