Shortlist Add to shortlist Apply Tasks:

- research in the area of bioinformatics with focus on genome bioinformatics

- management of own research projects and acquisition of external funding

- supervision and co-supervision of Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. students

- teaching of University-level bioinformatics courses in German and English

- Contributions to the self-administration of the University and of the Department for Biotechnology



Requirements:

- Doctorate with specialization in bioinformatics, genome informatics, computational biology or related discipline

- experience with the analysis and interpretation of large data sets, in particular with next-generation sequencing data

- experience with assembly, annotation, and interpretation of genome sequences

- excellent publication record in highly-ranked journals

- willingness and interest to cooperate with life scientists in the context of interdisciplinary collaborations

- fluency in German and English



Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1 lit. b, € 3.546,00
