The Computational Biologist within the Clinical Bioinformatics group will provide bioinformatics support in the development of next-generation sequencing applications to characterize the spectrum and clinical significance of genetic mutations in human tumors. Serve as an integral member of the Koren Research Lab within the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. The main research focus is the analysis of DNA copy number data, applications of algorithms for extraction of genome-wide DNA replication timing profiles from next-generation sequencing data, and studying the causes and consequences of human DNA replication timing using genomic and epigenomic data. This position will have a leadership role in the Center for Molecular Oncology and be responsible for overseeing programmatic and research activities of the Computational Oncology Service. In addition, they will be involved in faculty recruitment, development and retention, and will take a lead role in translational science collaborations between the clinical disease management teams and other translational and basic science researchers at the institution.
