The project aims to characterise photosynthetic traits from diverse lines of wheat and combine this with quantitative genetics and next generation DNA sequencing to identify the genes associated with each trait. The role in Norwich will be to lead the genotype and genetic analysis component of the project. You will have a PhD in Biological Science with a focus on Computational Biology, Plant biology or Genetics, or related field. Experience in quantitative genetics and/or next generation sequence data analysis, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential. With an understanding Arabidopsis or wheat genetics desirable.  [More]
