We are seeking a Scientist, Bioinformatics (1 year contract) for our Research and Development Department, of which there are 35+ PhDs, 23 MScs, and 37 BScs based in our Vancouver office. This scientist will be responsible for a wide range of bioinformatic data analysis functions with the goal of supporting the development of specialized cell culture products, and will act as an in-house expert in the field. In addition to managing their own projects, the scientist will provide training and support to our staff and participate in interdisciplinary collaborations within STEMCELL. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Fully responsible for the design, coordination, analysis and reporting of biomarker analysis to support ongoing cell culture media development. Understand the field of bioinformatics research and applications related to cell culture media product development Design and execute experiments for multiple projects with input from Supervisor. Responsible for project planning including submissions for grant funding.
