The Massachusetts General Hospital is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our growing Computational Pathology Research Group, with a particular research focus on informatics and cancer. The successful candidate will aid in integrating large datasets including genomic scale next-generation sequencing data, ChIP seq data, and single cell transcriptional analysis of cancer with the applied research generated in our laboratories. Our current Computational Pathology Research Group includes computational biologists, bioinformatics analysts, basic and translational scientists and clinicians. We are seeking highly motivated individuals who will enjoy pursuing rigorous computational analysis in a collaborative environment. More information about our research faculty can be found at http://www.massgeneral.org/pathology/faculty/faculty_research.aspx Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Design and implement computational pipelines for processing of data generated by next-generation sequencing platforms (e.g., DNA sequencing, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq) Develop data analysis strategies and apply them to cancer data sets, critically review and analyze results, communicate results to biologists, computational biologists, software engineers and clinicians. Explore novel data visualization tools, with emphasis on integrating diverse data types, which will include clinical data Implement algorithms as software for distribution to the cancer research community Support specific research projects conducted by principal investigators in MGH Pathology.
