Bioinformatics Analyst I – Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness Research

Job Description:
Purpose:

Under general supervision, assists in the development, maintenance and analysis of data.

Primary Functions:

• With some oversight, perform high-quality analysis of large datasets to identify trends and associated factors of clinical disease.
• Assist in interpretation of analyzed data including development of novel analysis methodology and visualizations.
• Prepare data in suitable format for dissemination.
• Serve as intermediary between programmers and clinical/research professionals.
• Assist research teams to develop new methodologies and tools for analysis, and/or to define improvements for existing systems and tools.
• Contribute to publications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of technical, business, consultation, and project management, Customer focus, building trust, communication, critical thinking, and influencing skills.

Ability to independently learn new technologies in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to multi task and prioritize workload to meet established goals. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Schedule:

Monday- Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM. Full-time role with expectations for coverage during core business hours and flexibility required as necessary

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree

Minimum Required Experience: No experience required

Preferred Education: Master’s degree

Preferred Experience: 1 year experience in managing large databases, creating and cleaning data
