- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics or related scientific discipline. Master's Degree with 3+ years of industry experience as a Bioinformatics Scientist may also be considered.
- Strong competence in genomic analyses
- Must be an expert in analysis of human next-gen sequencing data and knowledge of best practices
- Competency in informatics-related programming languages and interfaces such as Python, Perl, R and Linux
- Research background in oncology or immunology
- Assist in programing and analyzing genomics data for clinical trials.
- Works on informatics problems, including novel genomics applications.
- Develops workflows for next-generating sequencing datasets, including DNA and RNA sequencing.
- Identifies molecular features from genomics datasets that correlate with clinical outcomes.
- Reads scientific journals and articles, maintains current scientific awareness, prepares written reports in collaboration with other scientists, writes original proposals for research projects.
