Job Description:
Responsibilities:

• Ability to understand and explain domain concept to the team in correct and timely manner.
• Ability to interact with customer to figure out the details of work related to domain area.
• Works as an embedded domain resource in the team of size 4-5 on Life Sciences projects.

• BE/MSc or Equivalent in life sciences streams like molecular biology, biotechnology, medicine, bioinformatics etc. with exposure to informatics courses in life sciences

• 3-5 years of experience in Life Sciences IT industry. Experience in NGS is good to have.

• Good knowledge of at least one programming environment like Perl, Python, Shell etc.
• Sound knowledge of high throughput NGS techniques & algorithms.
• Sound knowledge of different databases like MySQL, MongoDB, NoSQL etc.
• Skills in writing and executing test cases, keeping log of results and finding/logging of bugs.
• Sound knowledge of software development methodologies; especially agile.
• Ability to gather information on new concepts in the domain and make presentations.
• Ability to effectively participate in telecons with the customer and give the customer confidence on the work being done.
• Self-motivated individual.
• Communications and Interactions.
