  • Development of a genetic risk model for the recurrence of atrial fibrillation after ablation therapy
  • Development of an integrated decision support system for the treatment of atrial fibrillation
Your Qualifications:
  • PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Mathematics or related fields
  • Excellent knowledge of statistics, in particular of classical estimation theory, machine learning, Bayesian approaches
  • Strong programming skills in R
  • Experience in multidisciplinary projects
  • Good understanding of genetics

Atrial fibrillation is the most common form of cardiac arrhythmia. The most effective treatment is atrial ablation - an invasive procedure. However atrial fibrillation may still recur. The goal of the SysAFib project is to understand and model the risk of recurrence using an integrated systems medicine approach and to provide an evidence-based decision support system for the treatment of atrial fibrillation.

The SysAFib consortium is composed of clinical, scientific and experimental experts, located at clinical centers, research institutes and universities in Norway, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany.
