Here, you’ll achieve greatness. With your expert knowledge of bioinformatics and statistics you will be responsible for sorting through the deluge of data, thereby contributing to research into a completely new type of immune therapy against cancer. Your duties in detail:
- You will soon be developing and optimizing new bioinformatics methods that you will integrate into existing processes.
- Of course, you will be working with numerous data sources in order to continually expand the existing knowledge base for individualized cancer therapies.
- In this context, you will be responsible for the integration and design of data sets along with the implementation of analysis pipelines.
- Analyzing and interpreting DNA and RNA sequences with high throughput will be another of your tasks.
- And last but not least — you know how to make the most of big data potential.
- PhD in bioinformatics, informatics, mathematics or life sciences or masters degree/diploma plus at least three years professional experience
- Experience in handling, preparing, and analyzing medical and genomic data sets (incl. large omics data sets)
- Good programming skills (preferably Python and R), excellent statistics knowledge along with outstanding visualization and interpreting skills. Experience of data mining, text mining, and machine learning concepts
- An understanding of medical, molecular, genetic, immunological and biological processes in cancer cases
- Ability to write and speak English well is a must, knowledge of German advantageous. We are looking for candidates who are happy to work in an international team with a start-up atmosphere
