We are seeking a bioinformatics investigator to accelerate the development of oncology therapies. The successful candidate will serve as a biomarker liaison with oncology clinical teams including the following responsibilities:
- Collaborate on the design and execution of biomarker profiling studies in clinical trials
- Manage project workflow of sample processing and data transfer, in collaboration with project managers and data engineers
- Conceive of and perform analyses of genomic biomarker data and clinical variables and provide biological interpretation of results
- Assess the utility of candidate biomarkers, such as tumor mutation burden, circulating tumor DNA, and RNA signatures
- Develop innovative analytical approaches for genomic data
- Ph.D. in bioinformatics, genetics, genomics, molecular biology, computer science, statistics, or related field
- Demonstrated experience analyzing next-generation sequencing data (DNA-seq and RNA-seq data) including biological interpretation of results
- Solid understanding of genomics and cancer genetics
- Demonstrated statistical and analytical ability with programming expertise in R
- Effective prioritization among multiple projects
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team
- Proficiency with Linux tools and Python preferred
