Working as part of a team you will manage and contribute to the established and successful MSc in Tunnelling and Underground Space. You will advise on marketing and ensure recruitment targets are achieved. You will facilitate and contribute to the delivery of high quality, industrially-relevant teaching and ensure high levels of student satisfaction. You will liaise with key partners such as the British Tunnelling Society, International Tunnelling Association and industrial companies. You will establish and lead interdisciplinary research activities of international excellence.
You will have relevant work and research experience within the tunnelling industry sufficient to command the professional respect of students and industrial partners. You will be an excellent communicator with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will have excellent IT skills including demonstrable ability to use IT to write technical research papers and presentations. You will be able to develop funding proposals, manage an active research team and publish in high ranking journals.
