NOTICE OF JOB OPPORTUNITY
TITLE: Research Scientist, Medical Imaging and Analysis
COMPANY: Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc.
DUTIES: Research, design, and implement software algorithms for detection, segmentation, tracking and fusion applications for Medical Image Analysis. Integrate algorithms in prototype software for performing proof-of-concept and feasibility studies, followed by pre-clinical and clinical studies for validation. Perform specification and implementation of medical image analysis algorithm in product components. Generate invention disclosures and advance the state-of-the-art patents and publications in top journals and conferences. Work with research and software teams across business areas to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or related quantitative field (or foreign equivalent) and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or acceptable alternate occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept bachelor’s degree in specified fields and five (5) years of specified experience. Prior experience with or knowledge of: image analytics, image understanding, computer vision and machine learning; medical image analysis and anatomy; coding skills and ability to prototype in C++; Python, Lua, Matlab. Successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US Export Control Law. Approximately 10% travel. Offer of employment with Siemens in conditioned upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screen, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
OTHER: Worksite: Princeton, NJ; 40 hours/week; $101,427.12/year.
