Job Description:
The successful applicant will take a lead role in analysing Whole Genome, RNASeq and Bi-sulphate Sequencing data generated in collaboration with the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and Babraham Institute, to identify and predict potential relationships between genetic and epigenetic changes which occur during the long term maintenance of PSCs under the supervision of Professor Peter Andrews and Dr Marta Milo.

Applications are invited from a PhD level bioinformatician with experience in the design and analysis of experiments that use next generation sequencing to gain information on gene expression regulation. Experience of coding in “R” or “Phython” and using existing packages for high throughput sequence analysis will be essential. Experience in adapting existing analysis tools to the data and developing of novel analysis tools is also desirable.

You should have a good honours degree, preferably in a technical subject (or equivalent experience) and a PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology of a related subject. You will be able to code proficiently in “R” and/ or “Python” and be familiar with bioinformatics tools and Machine Learning techniques.
