Cartwright James is currently working with a software solutions company that serves the Life Sciences, Biotechnology and Healthcare markets. The client provides a variety of software solutions, products and services to customers worldwide. The client is now seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the expansion and development of sales activities in the UK. The Role: As the business development manager you will be responsible for defining, implementing and managing a market access strategy for the UK. You will manage existing accounts whilst developing new clients within the healthcare market. You will indentify and develop new opportunities through networking, cold calling, advertising and attendance at seminars and conferences. The role will work closely with the strategic marketing department by building and developing a lead generation program to convert leads to clients. Through development of the UK you will have the opportunity to grow and manage a sales team ensuring the sales force is fully equipped to position products against competition and deliver value. Requirements: -Bachelors degree: Science related. Masters degree considered favorable. ->10 years progressive sales experience within the healthcare market. -> 5 years experience within bioinformatics. -Previous business development experience within the US. -Excellent business acumen, reading and writing English.
