Job Description:
Applications are invited for a tenured/tenure-track faculty position at the University of Houston in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the following healthcare areas:

• Bioinformatics, with applications to cancer research or precision medicine

• Big data analytics, with applications to healthcare systems, digital healthcare

• Neuroengineering and Medical robotics

• Implantable/Wearable systems

Successful candidates are expected to have a strong record of externally funded research, scholarship, teaching, and a commitment to enhancing the diversity of the faculty and students. The start date for these positions is Sept. 1, 2017. Applications will be reviewed until the positions are filled.

Minimum Qualifications :

Applicants must already possess an earned doctorate in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or a related field at the time of application. For a position at the Assistant professor level, post-doctoral experience is not required, but preferred. For a position at the Associate/Full professor level, applicants must have a strong record of scholarship, teaching, and externally funded research commensurate with the rank.
