Bioanalytical Scientist – Rangam Consultants Inc. – Andover, MA

Job Description:

The Bioanalytical Scientist will focus on the development of a novel type of sensitive quantitative assay to characterize and quantify the effect of anti-drug antibodies against protein biotherapeutics in the context of unwanted immunogenicity.

Apply existing protein quantitation workflows using bead and column based immunoaffinity enrichment including the use of liquid handling roboticsRun bioanalytical assays under minimal supervision; initiative in method development is expectedParticipate in all phases of mass spec laboratory operations including the development of sample preparation methods, assay execution, instrument maintenance and data analysis/reportingSupport analysis of quantitative LC-MS/MS data using relevant bioinformatics and quantitation software

Qualifications

Expertise in bioanalytical procedures including immunoanalytical workflowsSolid background in protein biochemistry , and preferably expertise in triple quadrupole quantitative mass spectrometryBS/MS level education in biochemistry, biology or chemistry or related fields required; advanced degree may be a plusExpertise in the operation and maintenance of mass spectrometers, ideally with quantitative protein LC-MS/MS assaysTrack record of method development skills particularly with novel and complex methods applied to bioanalytical questions
