Job Description:
Bioinformatician for 1928 diagnostics
Do you want to participate in the fight against antibiotic resistant bacteria? Join our dynamic development team and make a difference!
We are looking for a driven and dedicated bioinformatician for a fulltime position in an expanding startup business. You will take a leading role in developing a new diagnostic service of bacterial infections based on next generation sequencing technology. The assignment will include development of bioinformatic methodology to support product functions, selection and adjustments of algorithms and performing technical and clinical verification studies. The candidate will work in close collaboration with IT developers and the management team and will also have close interactions with the research community.
1928 diagnostics is a startup business developing software based diagnostic services for clinical use in the health care sector. The first product is a cloud based software service that will deliver antibiotic resistance profiles based on the bacteria’s genome to clinics or bacteriology laboratories. By enabling fast onset of correct antibiotic treatment the service will save patient lives, diminish spread of multiresistant bacteria and reduce costs for the health care sector and society.
