Job Description:
We are currently seeking for a dynamic Bioinformatician to join the team in Vancouver. The Clinical Development Team at GenomeDx works closely in a cross-disciplinary team to provide product development support through strategic collaborations, and clinical trial oversight. The team designs, runs and analyzes studies to build data hubs and new products. The applicant will conduct bioinformatics analysis, build and maintain infrastructure pipelines with a focus on database curation and management of clinical and laboratory data to support these efforts. What You Are Great At Doing: -Strong experience with data curation, working with different data types in a reproducible fashion -Conduct genomic analysis to assist in analytical validation and clinical validation of products -Design workflows and develop new pipelines -Import, update and query relational databases What You Need To Be Successful: Requires a BS in biological sciences and/or computer science with a minimum of 2-5 years related research experience; or Masters in biological sciences and/or computer science with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience What You Will Bring To The Team: -Computational experience with microarray or similar high complexity assay data -Experience harmonizing and curating clinical data in a research setting -Extensive experience in R programming or equivalent programming language -Working knowledge of relational database -Enthusiasm and interest in solving problems in innovative ways -Background in molecular biology an asset -Willingness and ability to learn and utilize new skills/methodologies
