Bioinformatics MilliporeSigma IT is currently seeking a senior bioinformatics scientist in St Louis, US. This role will participate in development of bioinformatics applications and data analysis algorithms to support marketing, sales, and R&D in the biotech area. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS -Development of bioinformatics, especially big data-related, solutions in biotech. -Development of NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) all-in-one as well as custom pipelines. -Assisting statistical data analysis in the research of genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, chemistry, etc. -Design and implementing electronic lab information management system. -Providing business intelligence support to sales, marketing, and innovation initiatives. -Web programming using Java, preferably Java EE. -Database design and programming using RDBMS or NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.

Who you are:
Education: MS or higher degree in bioinformatics or equivalent relevant education such as a degree in biology area and a degree in computer. Experience and Skills: -3+ years experiences in software and bioinformatics application development. -Sufficient knowledge of Java, JavaEE, perl, python, C, and R. -Good experience in RDBMS -Good knowledge in NoSQL is a plus -Wet lab experience is a plus.Requeriments :
