Job Description:
Successful candidate will provide input to the GeneLab software development efforts and help the development team build an omics system across the four phases of the GeneLab Platform. Additionally, any beta testing of the GeneLab Platform will be supported. Specifically, they will be working on the specific datasets that are currently available on GeneLab. Please note that this is a Part Time 30-39 hour per week position.

Successful candidate will provide input to the GeneLab software development efforts and help the development team build an omics system across the four phases of the GeneLab Platform. - Uniformly analyze all data available on GeneLab and develop a standard pipeline to be used to determine statistically significant genes to be utilized for further analysis.
- Development of a user friendly GeneLab platform.
- Determine key factors or genes involved in each database studied by adapting the existing (and published) pipeline using an unbiased systems biology approach.
- Incorporate all databases together to determine any common or universal themes that exist with space radiation.
- Develop analysis and methodology in the GeneLab Platform for beta testing.
- Provide support for GeneLab peer review publications.
- PhD in Bioinformatics or a related discipline and 6+ years of experience.
- Bioinformatics, omics analysis and pipeline development.
- Experience working with NASA, space samples, microgravity specific factor assessment.
- Position requires U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status.
