Attain’s quickly growing Bioinformatics Practice is seeking an established, experienced, and technically expert bioinformatics consultant to work with its most important government health and research clients in providing a wide-range of IT solutions and services in customer-facing engagements including web application development, software engineering, and database management to facilitate access to state-of-the-art digital capabilities throughout the enterprise; to speed scientific discovery; and to facilitate translational research and precision medicine. Desired Skills and Experience Experience: Experience working directly with government clients in the healthcare and research space. Business Requirements, System Analysis, Functional and Technical Writing, Uses and Tests Cases. Agile, PMP credentials or experience desired. Track-record of working effectively on multiple tasks in parallel and working seamlessly with government clients Domain Experience: National Institutes of Health, specifically: National Cancer Institute National Center for Biotechnology Information Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology Strong life sciences background Technical Expertise: Zope, Plone, Apache Web Server, Python, Perl, HTML, Blast, C and R, Java, Ant, JBoss, HTML5, JavaScript, Tomcat, JQuery, AJAX, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, WSDL, C/C++, JNDI, Oracle Database, Hibernate, Struts, Maven, Ant, JBuilder, CVS, Git, Gradle, Sencha, Automated Build and Deployment(Jenkins) Career Objectives: IT Consulting, Project Management, Technology Consulting.
