Job Description:

Develop and implement a data processing pipeline, include the experimental design, pre-processing, and statistical analysis of large scale LC-MS and NMR based metabolomics and proteomics studies; collaboration with researchers within and external to the university (academic, industry, scientific instrument manufacturers); and providing training and support in bioinformatics.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in computational metabolomics, bioinformatics, statistics or closely related field plus 3 years of Postdoctoral experience in bioinformatics required. Must have high level of analytical skills; detailed knowledge of bioinformatics, computational biology, metabolomics and proteomics. Competency in more than one programming language (e.g. Python, Matlab, R, etc.) essential. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD in computational metabolomics, bioinformatics, statistics or closely related field preferred. Previous experience collaborating with subject matter specialists in the general area of biomedical and biomolecular research desirable. Ability to easily communicate technical solutions to a non-technical audience helpful.
