AncestryDNA is seeking a motivated and talented Bioinformatics Analyst to help us optimize and maintain the genomic analysis pipelines and data sets used by the genomics R&D team at AncestryDNA. The successful candidate will work with our team of biologists, population geneticists, statisticians, computer scientists and epidemiologists to design and implement genomic and bioinformatics pipelines for scalability and to take advantage of distributed computing environments in a local cluster and in the AWS. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have an MS or PhD in computational biology, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

- The candidate must have experience working with genomic data and building genomic and bioinformatics pipelines.
- The candidate must have demonstrated proficiency working in AWS and distributed computing environments.
- The successful applicant must have strong programming skills: shell scripting, Python, C++, and Java are preferred.
- Experience analyzing data on the order of tens of billions of records is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills will be needed in our collaborative and fast-paced team.
