Job Description:
The Bioinformatics Analyst will work closely with research lab scientists, computational biologists, and software engineers in support of a diverse set of research programs. The bioinformatics analyst is will be extensively involved with data support, bioinformatics, systems analysis and research design and development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of systems biology, all domains of biomedical research and has advanced abilities in coding and data science in general.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proven experience deploying tools for genomic data analysis, integration and visualization.
  • Ability to develop appropriate data models, track and evaluate patterns of outcomes, and apply relevant analytical and statistical methods.
  • Work with external and internal collaborators to examine, transfer, and index data towards development of automated data processing pipelines.
  • Will be required to lead project timelines.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with proven critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills and experience providing software demonstrations and training.
Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (M.S./Ph.D. or equivalent experience preferred) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, Immunology or related field.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with image processing.
  • Demonstrated experience with Matlab and R.
  • Demonstrated experience with deep learning.
  • Demonstrated experience with imaging.
  • Experience with tensor flow.
  • Ability to brief senior staff and partners.
  • Work cooperatively as a team member and provide guidance to government analysts to build effective customer relationships.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal or no oversight.
