Job Description:
AncestryDNA is seeking a motivated and talented individual with several years’ experience in bioinformatics, including analysis of next-generation sequencing data. Working with a collaborative and nimble team of scientists, the successful applicant will partner with scientists, laboratory operations staff, and software engineers to develop new technologies/protocols for improving and scaling genomic data production.

Qualifications:

⦁ PhD or Masters in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience

⦁ Demonstrated excellence in the development and optimization of data analysis pipelines for NGS assays, in production or research environments.

⦁ Experience in the development and monitoring of quality metrics for NGS assays, for assay development and/or production

⦁ Experience in the development and execution of validation and verification protocols

⦁ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

⦁ Strong organizational and interpersonal skills will be needed in our collaborative and fast-paced team

⦁ Experience with data analysis of genotyping assays – desirable, not required

⦁ Previous experience with multiple site coordination also highly desired.
