Job Description:
Research, design, and develop algorithms for the interpretation of Electrocardiograms (ECGs) and other novel applications. Test ECG algorithms for performance characteristics such as sensitivity and specificity specifications. Collaborate with engineering team to implement and deploy algorithms to AliveCor productions systems. Collaborate with regulatory team to build and submit FDA required materials (e.g. Form 510K) for the use of ECG analysis algorithms. Collaborate with management team to create algorithmic development roadmaps and communicate to them the current progress of algorithmic development. Education/experience: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computational and Applied Mathematics, Bioinformatics, or related field. In the alternative, the employer will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computational and Applied Mathematics, Bioinformatics, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related role. The employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Skills - Experience and/or education must include: -Design and develop machine-learning algorithms in Python, R, Matlab, and C++. -Design and develop signal processing in Python, R, Matlab, and C++. -Read, interpret, and implement methods described in research papers, journals, and articles in the medical, signal processing, and computer science fields.
