Job Description:
This position will provide clinical data management and data quality support for clinical and other cancer related research studies at the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. The primary duties include application of custom and third party analysis tools and analytical procedures that support DNA and RNA sequencing research for UNC Lineberger.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Knowledge and experience in DNA or RNA sequence analysis, Linux shell scripting, working in a cluster-computing environment, R, and at least one of Python, Java, C/C++, or Perl and web development for scientific computing. Experience with advanced statistical computing and object-oriented programming (For example: jQuery, AJAX, Node.js, Ruby, and SAS).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an academic medical center research support environment, with cloud technologies (Docker, OpenStack), Javascript, and with SQL.
