POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES: We are seeking an undergraduate student in bioinformatics, or computer science for an internship opportunity, working in a highly collaborative and team-based environment. Individual will be responsible for:
- Organizing experimental data files , identify key elements of sample quality and genomic data to be parsed and uploaded to central SQL database for searching and analysis.
- The task would also include creating stable automated pipeline to do routine analysis within Omicsoft and writing ROPs
- Responsible to download key public dataset and store it within central repository for downstream data processing
- The individual will have interaction with scientist to provide analyzed data
- Applicants must be enrolled in a U.S. accredited university for the semester before and immediately following the internship.
- Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree and have completed at least their sophomore year or be a graduate level student pursuing either a PharmD or Master’s degree
- For Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students, a major in a healthcare, pharmacy or life science field is preferred.
- The individual should have strong organizational skills, some coding experience like Python and R and knowledge about oracle database is a plus
