The Bioinformatics Developer will partner closely with Software Engineering, Computational Biology, R&D, Production Lab and others in an effort to elicit the very best results in our software platform. Responsibilities: -Create and maintain robust, automated, scalable systems for quality control, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance -Develop statistical data analysis approaches and visualization tools that help Adaptive make the most out of immunoSEQ and clonoSEQ data -Support new research and diagnostic assays through analytical and clinical validation experiments -Communicate cross-functionally with diverse teams including R&D, production lab, software engineering, regulatory, and quality -Help Adaptive launch two new industry-leading immunosequencing assays in 2017 Experience and Skills: -Graduate education (Ph.D. preferred) in statistics, biostatistics, computational biology, computer science, or related field -Experience in scientific and statistical programming in multiple languages including Python -Experience with high-throughput data processing, quantitative analysis, and presentation of next-generation sequencing datasets -Broad knowledge of molecular biology -Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken, with a confident, cooperative, and team-oriented attitude. HIGHLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS -Previous experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries, in bioinformatics, biostatistics, and/or product development. -Laboratory research experience in molecular biology, genomics, immunology, or similar. -Experience working in assay development under design control. -Experience working in collaborative software development environments such as git. -Familiarity with design and analysis of analytical and clinical validation experiments for NGS-based research or diagnostic assays. -A strong record of scientific achievement, e.g., academic publications and patent filings.
