Job Description:
The Select Group is looking for a motivated and talented Bioinformatics Engineer. The ideal candidate will join one of the most innovative Biotech companies in the nation. You will be a part of a highly visible group within the organization. BIOINFORMATICS ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS: -Bachelor or Masters in Bioinformatics or Computer Science. -Solid understanding of genetics, Microarray, NGS technique, human genome analysis, and algorithms. -Working experience with Object Oriented Programming. -Familiar with algorithms and various bioinformatic tools. -Familiar with databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, Cloud computing - huge plus. BIOINFORMATICS ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES: -Work independently in cross-functional teams to lead the testing effort for bioinformatics data analysis software. -Apply knowledge to develop, modify, and execute software test plans and test cases. -Develop and execute automation scripts for data validation. -Work with software developers, bioinformatics scientists and domain experts in designing, performing, and improving the verification process. -Collaborate with peers to identify opportunities for process improvement.
