We are seeking an energetic individual for a mid-level Bioinformatic Engineer. The successful applicant will need to:
- Quickly learn the structure of the existing software.
- Run, monitor and troubleshoot existing Bioinformatic workflows.
- Assist in the maintenance, development, optimization, and scaling of pipelines and tools for NGS data analysis.
- Must be able to legally work in the US.
- Candidates with a BS degree in Bioinformatics with several (3+) years of industry experience, or MS in Bioinformatics with 2+ years of industry experience.
- 2+ years experience with Python Programming; C++, R, and Perl desirable.
- 2+ years experience working with AWS ecosystem (EC2, S3, Lambda).
- 2+ years experience working with NGS data, workflows and common bioinformatics tools (bwa/bowtie, samtools, bedtools).
- 2+ years experience working with PostgreSQL (desired) or other relational SQL DB.
- Expertise in Linux and Shell programming.
- Familiarity with source code revision control such as git, SVN or related systems.
