Bioinformatics Intern

Job Description:
This is a full time internship expected to last up to 12 weeks. The pay for this position is $15/hr.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Supports the ArcherDX bioinformatics team in the development of next-generation sequencing analysis tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Job duties will involve a variety of activities including any of the following:

• Coding duties as determined by team lead
• Publication curation and entry into databases
• Development of automated parsing scripts
• Supporting the R&D team's analysis needs
• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated experience in genomics and bioinformatics
• Proficient in scripting languages (perl/python)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with scientists, software engineers and collaborators

EDUCATION:

Coursework in bioinformatics, computer science, or related discipline or equivalent experience
