Job Description:
An enthusiastic and committed bioinformatics research associate is required to join the Arthritis Research UK Centre of Excellence in Genetics and Genomics, based at the University of Manchester, on a 5 year post. You will work closely with a research team working on a Wellcome Trust funded project which aims to characterise non-coding regions of the genome that confer risk to rheumatoid arthritis (RA) using functional genomics, with the ultimate goal of identifying the genes that cause RA, the mechanisms by which RA-associated SNPs alter their target genes and novel therapeutic targets.

You must hold a PhD or equivalent (e.g. MSc with good experience in Bioinformatics) and will be responsible for carrying out quality control, analysis and integration of functional genomics data, such as RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, Hi-C, ATAC-Seq and CRISPR/Cas9.
