Bioinformatics Scientist

Job Description:
Bioinformatics Investigator with a scientific flair required for a fast-growing oncology firm who are developing targeted therapies based in Delaware.

Our client is looking for a highly motivated scientist to work in a collaborative laboratory environment focused on pushing the boundaries of science in the context of interpreting human clinical studies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Utilizing computational biology methods to integrate, analyze and visualize results with data sets obtained from a variety of translational platforms
• Analyzing and interpreting genome-scale NGS data sets
• Identifying and evaluating markers for clinical response
• Providing technical expertise within highly collaborative environment
• Presenting results of analysis to multidisciplinary audiences within the organization

Our client is ideally seeking an individual with Masters or PhD degree, or with equivalent experience, and 4-6 years of scientific training with demonstrated expertise in the fields of molecular biology, cell biology, oncology or immunology along with experience in using bioinformatics to aid in the visualization/analysis of large NGS data sets.

Ideally you will have expertise in using R, Python or MATLAB for data visualization. Any skills in Cloud Computing (specifically AWS) is beneficial. You must have strong analytical skills.

Relocation is offered for the right candidate, if needed.
